LUSEP welcomes businesses of all sizes and types and supports businesses from a pre-start/start-up phase onwards.

LUSEP offers a high-quality environment that encourages partnership working, sharing of best practice, collaboration and innovation.

LUSEP ecosystem continues to evolve to meet the current and future needs of leading knowledge-based enterprises.   

One or more of the following criteria should be satisfied for entry into the LUSEP ecosystem:

  • Be engaged in knowledge-based activities that complement the academic activities of the University (or be specialist organisations engaged in the support of such businesses and organisations) making a significant contribution to the LUSEP community.
  • Be willing to proactively engage with the University on an on-going basis in discussion of mutually beneficial joint activities across the spectrum of teaching, research, and knowledge exchange
  • Be enterprises that would benefit from access to the University's research expertise and added value mentoring and support to meet their evolving business needs.
  • Able to offer an enhanced level of support to help develop and support emerging enterprises and the wider University and LUSEP community, such as LU Inc. businesses transitioning from the incubator into other accommodation on LUSEP.  This would include, but not be limited to, contributing to an innovative ecosystem to share experience and where appropriate support and providing opportunities for our students and graduates (placements, jobs, mentoring.
  • Sports organisations and businesses seeking to collaborate with LUSEP’s wider innovation community, the University’s world-leading expertise in sports science, engineering, health and well-being and the UK’s highest concentration of athletes, studying and training at Loughborough.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to economic growth, innovation, and job creation in the local community.
