SportPark was launched in 2010 by Loughborough University with support from Government, Sport England, Charnwood Borough Council and Leicestershire County Council. The 2,000 sq m expansion is delivered by the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) as part of the Getting Building Fund (GBF) and is also supported by Loughborough Town Deal.
